Marge was baptized in July of 1947 and was a lifetime member of the Church of Christ. She was married to Jimmy Murl Stockam on July 17, 1955, and he survives. Marge was born in Billings, Missouri, on February 15, 1932, and graduated from Neosho High School in 1950. Marg will be laid to rest with her husband Bob at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville, PA. Due to Covid-19, all services will be private. She was preceded in death by her brother, Billy Lovell, and is survived by her brothers, Jack (late Virginia) Rohm, Roy (Ann) Lovell, and Bobby (Pam) Lovell, and many nieces, nephews, great and great-greats. Marg is also survived by her 14 grandchildren: Kristi, Megan, Rees, and Ian Mattheessen Demetri, Mirko, and Eli Loncar Jocelyn and Sophia Melendez and Jordyn, Mackenzie, Mason, Peyton, and Monti Smith. She is survived by her four darling daughters, Terri (Keith) Mattheessen of Richmond, TX, Mary Beth (Pete) Loncar of Aliquippa, PA, Susan Melendez of Alexandria, VA, and Robin (Robert) Smith of Wheeling, WV. May the force be with her! Marg was preceded in death by her husband, James Robert "Bob" McClure. She was also her family's funny, spunky, sassy little leprechaun whose sarcasm was always on point. Throughout her life Marg was the quiet, calm, reliable rock, that all could confide in and depend on. 1939 Blackpool as we once again join Marg, Edith and Alice and nothing will be normal after. Marg's professional carrier ranged from odd jobs to help make ends meet like delivering phone books, to her many happy years at David Weiss and Mellon Bank, where she made cherished friendships. You would always find her humbly working at schools, sporting events, Crafton Heights community events, Women's Club charity events, and as a Girl Scout Leader. She was the ultimate volunteer serving her family and her community in numerous capacities.
Marg LOVED her family and her city, and nothing was better than bringing them both together! From cheering on her beloved Steelers, to the countless trips to the Carnegie Museums, Science Center, and Strip District, which ultimately led to a trip on the incline for the spectacular view of her favorite city! When her kids were young, Marg and her station wagon were always available for rides home on rainy days, sport team transport, and fun trips for ice cream.
Marg was born on in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Beatrice (Cody) and Fred Lovell. Mary Margaret "Marg" McClure, a lifelong resident of Pittsburgh, PA, passed away peacefully surrounded by her adoring daughters on April 17th.
